Doing art has been integral to my life since childhood. It has woven through both good times and bad offering emotional release and a means of deep expression while warding off fear and anxiety. My mediums of preference are oil paint, pastels, Chinese ink, clay. I've also worked with fibers, papers and printing inks.

I've studied at the Brooklyn Museum Art School, Hunter and Brooklyn Colleges, Pratt, University of Mexico, Woodstock School of Art, and Vermont Studio Center. Most influential were Edith Kramer--Art Therapy and Bill Jensen--Painting.
I've taught literacy to adults, and art to children and adults at a variety of venues: Garfield Temple After-School Center; New York City Board of Education; Third Street Studio; Federation Employment and Guidance Service; The Metropolitan Museum of Art; New York City Housing Centers; and Coney Island Hospital.

I've been active in Park Slope Artists, Brooklyn Waterfront Artists, The Creative Center and Women in the Arts. I've shown with all of these groups in galleries, studios, store windows, lofts and most recently on line with The Creative Center.

"My work is gestural and energetic incorporating forms from nature and the human figure".
